Caught in the cool clear waters of Northern Scotland where the Gulf Stream sweeps in to the rich marine feeding grounds found in this area. Whether it's Kippers or Smoked Mackeral you can be sure of a fresh quality smoked product ready to compliment any meal.
Kippers from Shetland - There are kippers and then there are Shetland kippers. Golden undyed natural herrings, hand picked for quality. Maybe it's the old whisky barrels, maybe it's the choice Atlantic herring landed locally, but there's something that sets our kippers above the rest. Great as a traditional breakfast kipper, or sling 'em on the BBQ till crispy on the outside - brilliant!!
Smoked Mackeral - There's a glint in the sea as you feel a sharp tug on your line. Reeling in a line of fresh mackerel, dark green, dark blue and rainbow silver the fish are a wonder to behold. We take Shetland mackerel, fished around our waters and filleted immediately. We smoke the fillets at a high enough temperature to bake the fillets, making a succulent, ready to serve dish, to be eaten cold or hot.

Peppered Mackeral - Prepared with a topping of cracked black pepper and sea salt, the hot smoked peppered mackerel give an extra zing to a starter or cold main course.
Freshwater Trout are also included in our Smoked Fish offering. Smoked Trout are individually selected and smoked using age-old traditional methods.
The addition of trout to our smoked fish shop offers you a wide and varied selection of smoked fish to choose from.
