Availibility of products
Many of our products are provided by small manufacturers and suppliers who work on small stock levels and some of our products are custom made to your specific requirements. For this reason the dispatch time will vary from product to product. Each product is marked with a "normally dispatched within" period advising you of how soon this product will be dispatched after ordering. We will always endeavour to dispatch sooner than this time but it is not always possible.
When items you order can not be dispatched within the advised period, we will contact you. We will advise you of the expected lead time before your items will be dispatched. At this point you will have the option to cancel this part of your order or place them on back-order. If you chose to cancel this part of your order at then you will be refunded monies relating to this part of your order. This in no way affects your statutory rights.
When ordering your goods you may have a choice of delivery options depending on the products purchased. This will allow you to determine the delivery time you prefer. The delivery date will normally be the sum of the normal dispatch period and the carriage delivery time specified during orders.
You will receive notification from Virtual Nations when items you order are dispatched. |

Delivery restrictions
Some of the products we offer for sale are subject to delivery restrictions. These restrictions are due to import regulations of some countries, customs restrictions, legal restrictions or in some cases the viability of delivering certain goods.
To the greatest extent possible these are indicated on the site at the time of ordering. Virtual Nations is also kept up to date on the latest importation guidelines for major countries. The ordering process will prevent you from requesting delivery where a product has restricted delivery. In the instance where an order is placed but is subsequently found for delivery to a restricted country for the goods requested then they will not be dispatched. Virtual Nations will refund the cost of this product and reserves the right to apply an administration fee to cover the cost of processing the refund.
However, import and trade laws are subject to change at short notice and Virtual Nations does not accept liability for loss or damage to goods arising from trade restrictions it was not aware of at the time of ordering. The responsibility for importation compliance rests with the customer. |

Delivery periods
The following table shows how goods are dispatched to you, depending on where you live. The general delivery periods are also shown and are provided as a guide only. The actual delivery period after dispatch may be longer than indicated. Some products, such as certain food items, are dispatched via special delivery such as courier and will be delivered in less time than indicated in the table.

Customs information
When ordering goods from Virtual Nations delivery outside of Europe the goods may be subject to import duties or taxes. All charges for customs clearance together with any importation duties or taxes will remain your responsibility and no claim for reimbursement of such charges will be entertained by Virtual Nations.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country and are without the control of Virtual Nations. If you are unsure you should contact your local customs office for further information prior to ordering.
Whilst we take every care to ensure that packages are labeled and identified for customs purposes you should be aware that International packages are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. This is outwith our control and is excluded from our privacy policy.
If the order is a gift and marked as a "Gift" the cost of the item must still be included in the customs forms. This is a requirement and may be visible to the recipient at the time of delivery. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package. |
